Giriko

Here, have some smexy Giriko, because requested I draw him, and you guys know how absolutely difficult it is for me to turn down a Soul Eater request.

Tried to make him flirtatiously sexy like you wanted, and he does have a pretty great pose and face to go with that. Enjoy it. So as I've never drawn Giriko before, this was a little weird to try. I started out just trying to give him an angled pose to show off how street-ish (is that even slang yet?) he's persona is, and I thought the way his jaw is suggested arrogance. I learned that Giriko is actually a fun character to draw, even if I do believe that I screwed up on the hair. Those spikes, man... those spikes are hard. But anyways, I love this character design, and his aesthetic was rather addictive to do, and after drawing this, I feel like Giriko's character design is Soul 2.0... I know I've said this to you guys before, but I absolutely hate drawing Soul. His outfits are basic and his spiky hair annoys me and I just don't like his character design. But Giriko shares a lot of similar features with Soul, only Giriko is like FREAKING AWESOME FUN STUFF to draw, more as Soul is just *bleh*. So yeah, for me, drawing Giriko was like doing an enjoyable version of Soul. I liked it. I might actually draw more of Giriko later...

To be honest, I never really thought about him that much until I had to draw him. I'm more of a fan of the more main characters (My faves are Maka, Kid, and Blackstar- lol), and I only ever considered Giriko when I thought about Team Failboat cuz SALVAGE STORY ARC FTW, though drawing him was so fun- like omg I cannot express how fun he was to do. So now, he's shot up to be like my 11th fave character, which is seriously saying something.

Anywhoooo- on an artsy note, the comic book inking style I used on this is seriously starting to grow on me. I think I'll start using it more often than my Disney-manga-hybrid style. The red backlights were fun to do, though I kind of wish I had a lighter shade of red... oh well. I like it. I put his name in Hirigana in the background, because I'm getting rather anxious to test out my Japanese, and names are a fun way to practice Hirigana. It was more of a test to me than anything else so I didn't google a reference for the proper Japanese written version of the name, so if I accidentally wrote the wrong kanji, I apologize in advance.
