Happy Birthday, Silver!

A birthday present I made for . 

I AM SO SORRY THIS IS LATE. I drew it a week ago but I wanted to wait until your actual birthday to post it but I got the dates confused because I thought it was the fifth and not the fourth and... gah. I fail at birthdays. 

Anywaaaaays, because Silver is fantabulous, when I asked her what she wanted me to draw for her birthday, she said she didn't know what she wanted me to do. I gave her options for it though. Eventually, she couldn't choose between KidMa and shirtless Kid, so I did both. Doujinshi Faaaaaail ( lana2452.deviantart.com/art/Do… ) was my first attempt to try to casually slip his shirt off. After I failed miserably at that, I decided to give up with casual and just draw them making out shirtless. But then that ended up looking more pornographic than anything, and I didn't really want a lot of my younger watchers and the watchers I'm related to seeing me draw something that looked like porn, so..... long story longer, let's just draw them in swimsuits.

You have absolutely no idea how proud I am of Kid's anatomy. I'm usually prone to making pecks look like boobs, so when his figure turned out genuinely masculine without being Blackstar levels of buff, I was so happy...

The pose is cute too. Why I like drawing Kid with his extreme case of the crushies and as a Kawaii fool, I have no idea. I think it's just cause I want him to be high strung and neurotic like he is in canon. I hate how a lot of fans try to portray him as more of the stoic, unemotional type. He's crazy a lot, so I try to keep that in a lot of my KidMa. Unfortunatly though, I feel like that usually turns into fail, Kawaii OOCness. 

These swimsuits are nice. I stole them off of some random Soul Eater anime poster, and it's perfect. I like Kid's shirt because it's more him than being full out shirtless, even if I am a bit disappointed I didn't get to fully show the deltoids I worked so freaking hard to proportion. And Maka's... cute. The ruffles and polka dots are something I dunno if she would wear of her own accord (I personally think that she would be a little uncomfortable in an eye catching swim suit thanks to her small chest size), but maybe Liz or someone girly got her into it. The style is nice too. I love the bow so much... and the color certainly looks sweet on her. And I am just now realizing just how freaking perfect the color schemes of both characters go together. I mean c'mon- it's matching AND love related, and I didn't even have to alter it from the original picture! But enough about fictional fashion choices.

To Silver: Thanks for always being there to comment on my stuff, and being one of my more original watchers. Thanks for all the fun discussions we have and all the cool stuff you make, and for just staying awesome. Here's to another year of crazy shipping and your inner fabulous. Sorry this is late, but thanks for being a great friend anyways.
